  • How much can one can cover?

One litre can cover up to 12m, although coverage may vary depending upon method, the rate of application and porosity of surface.

 

  • How long does it need to dry?

Shabby Chic chalk paint will be touch dry after 1 hour but you should let it dry 2 hours before starting handling it. The paint will come at full hardness and be completely dry after 3 hours

 

  • Can you use it in a sprayer?

Nothing says you can’t but keep in mind that the beauty of chalk paint is the hand-applied finish.

 

  • On which surfaces can I use chalk paint?  

You can use chalk paint on any surface. The paint adheres to almost anything, as long it has been primed suitably before

 

  • How durable is it?

As long as the paint is sealed properly by wax, it can be very durable.

 

  • Is this paint only for heavily distressed finishes?

No, absolutely not. Chalk paint is associated with distressed finishes because it is suitable for that but nothing can stop you from just painting furniture and not distressing them. They will turn out beautiful!

 

  • Do you have to wax in between layers if you’re using 2 colours?

You can, but don’t have to.  Simply paint your base colour, then the top colour, and distress with a fine sanding block or sandpaper.

 

  • What kind of brush should I use with chalk paint?

You can use any kind of paint brush with chalk paint!

 

  • How can I clean my brushes afterwards?

Just rinse them off with some warm water and you should be good to go.
